2016 - 2018 Acura RDX Apple CarPlay & Android Auto (Wired & Wireless) + HDMI INPUT + USB Media Player
The 2016-2018 Acura RDX supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto from Mad Dad Services.
Apple CarPlay:
Wired Connection: You can connect your iPhone to the Acura RDX via a USB cable to access your favorite apps on the dashboard.
Wireless Connection: Some models support wireless Apple CarPlay, allowing you to use your iPhone without physically connecting it.
Features:
Access your contact list and make phone calls.
Play music stored on your iPhone.
Display Apple Maps and use navigation.
Check and reply to text messages.
Use voice commands with Siri.
Compatibility: Requires an iPhone 5 or newer with iOS 8.4 or later.
Android Auto:
Similar to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto allows you to connect your Android phone to the Acura RDX.
Access apps like Google Maps, Waze, and Spotify through the touchscreen.
Make phone calls, send messages, and use navigation with voice commands.
Note that Android Auto requires a compatible Android phone and app support.
HDMI INPUT:
The Acura RDX may have an HDMI input for connecting external devices, such as gaming consoles or media players.
You can mirror your phone screen or play media content via HDMI.
USB Media Player:
Use the USB port to play media files (music, videos, etc.) from a USB drive.
Connect your USB drive to the designated port in the console compartment.
